Nexus 5X Bootloop

My sister's Nexus 5X was at low battery today, (possibly died while in sleep mode?) and when she came back to get it, it was stuck in a bootloop. It flashes the Google bootup logo, but then never goes into the secondary animation. I got it to boot up once by holding the power button and getting it to shut off then fully restart, however a few minutes after that, she was using it and it froze, crashed and reverted right back to the bootloop. Couldn't have been a battery thing in this case because it was plugged in then. We're currently just waiting for it to die so that we can get a full restart again and hoping that will fix it. I would take out the battery to speed up the process but I assume that would void whatever warranty there may be, and it's not the easiest phone to pry open anyways according to the internet. She mentioned that she dropped it earlier today, but she has a pretty rugged case, and it was working fine for some time after that. She needs it to work ASAP. Suggestions?

Yeah that's what I thought. I've heard that this is an issue with the 6P as well which is what I have, hope it lasts a while longer...

6P issue is overblown while LG has serious quality issues over all their phones.

Well that's good to hear. Meanwhile it died, we got it to boot up successfully, then it died while charging at 1% and then looped again. Then it died again, now it's booting back up. lol

Everything is backed up so there is literally nothing valuable on the phone, but yeah unless it totally stops that's the plan. Would you recommend contacting LG over Google?

Oh also do you guys have any good recommendations for a new phone for her, given it should be close to stock android because that's what she's used to, and she'll need to pay for it pretty much just with the refund?
