When I go into System Information Windows says on 63.9 GB of memory is usable. How do I make Windows utilize all 64 GB of memory? Also, it seems that Windows is unable to identify that my PC uses DDR4 memory in the task manager. Does Windows 8.1 even officially support DDR4 memory?

Sometimes task manager recognizes which type of RAM is installed. The screenshot below shows what the memory tab in the task manager looked like before I swapped out the motherboard, processors, and memory.

Okay I guess I've never seen/cared about this before.

Don't know how to get the display back then. But why would you want it anyways? It doesn't matter if it's there or not.

It's not a functional problem. I was just wondering if DDR4 memory is officially supported in Windows 8.1.

if it wasnt supported then how are you using it? bit of common sense

CPU: Intel I5 4690K | GPU: Asus R9 280x | PSU: Evga 600w | RAM:8GB DDR3 | HDD: WD 1TB | HDD: WD 500GB | SSD: Sandisk 120GB

Is the people here found the answer?, because is in the picture shared by the questioner,

as the pictures said, 100MB is reserved for hardware.. thus making 64GB into 63.9 Available

On the other hand, have to go to mscongif, boot tab, select maximun memory check mark, then un-selected, apply and restart... good luck
