I am planning to run my own fiber wire from telecom distribution box directly inside to my house (yes this is allowed by the provider, as long they are the one install it on both ends),

should i buy this (2core):

or this (12core):

I don't mind the price difference as I only need to buy 50m.

I don't get clear answer from them, probably asking this here helps. I had 0 ideas about fiber installation.

We need more specs. Fiber diameter etc.

Thank you for your reply.

For the first picture, I don't get much information from the seller. It seems just like normal FTTH wire that usually installed by the ISP to home fiber termination box on wall.

For the second one I think the outside diameter is around 0.8cm.

i guess it is normal PON FTTH setup.

it should be single i guess?

I would give your ISP a call and see if they have a preference or need for one or the other (2 vs 12) since they might have a need for a specific one as they will do the termination. I imagine they would only need you to have 2 strand fiber though but they might say different.

Normally the company that will be doing the terminations would have the fiber they would like you to run. In the past I have found that if you ask them nicely they will provide you the fiber for free as they would be allocated the fiber if they were doing the install anyway. Otherwise they are often willing to sell it to you.
