Square artifacts in Discord

So; I booted up my computer today and it turns out that I am getting screen artifacts but ONLY in the Discord program.

 

They look like this but there is only one at a time and they are much larger: 

 

Is there anything wrong with my GPU? Do I need to do anything?

If you have a spare GPU lying around put that in and see if it does it, if it doesn't then I'd say it's a sign of the GPU dying or it's dead.

Unfortunately I don't have any spare GPUs lying around. ^^

 

I only bought the GPU a year and a half ago.

My first thoughts were "I wonder if they use an AMD card.." and then I saw the specs...ha

You could enable the onboard graphics.

Go to Settings 

Appearance 

Scroll all the way down and check Hardware Acceleration. If off switch it on, if on switch it off.

Download hwinfo and scroll down almost to the bottom to the gpu section and at the very bottom is a box for gpu memory errors.  see if it is throwing any memory errors.

Sorry, when you are launching it you need to click the box for sensors only.

Got it. Zero memory errors.

 

 

Do I have to leave the program open until I see another artifact?

Sorry, tagging just to mention this: I just had my display driver crash and restart. Could that have anything to do with this? It hasn't happened before.

Maybe it does. Uninstall with DDU and then install again

63C seems fairly high for an idle temperature.  are the fans spinning freely and not clogged up with dust.
