I am planning on getting a new desktop with 8GB of RAM, however games that i want to play like Mass Effect: Andromeda recommend 16GB of RAM. I know that getting 16GB would probbaly be better, but i'm going for something not too expensive. So my question is.. can I run 16GB recommended with 8GB on decent settings?

Yeah no problem, as long as you close chrome.

If you're not already, get a single stick so you can upgrade later. (or if you have a board with 4 slots, it doesn't really mater, just don't get 4x2)

Eh if it's 4 slots I prefer getting one stick of 8gb and then upgrade later on.
