Xbox One controller in CS:GO?

I prefer using keyboard and mouse, but when I'm on my laptop, I sometimes don't have space for a mouse, so I would rather use a controller than a trackpad. Anyways, I have the controller hooked up with a Micro USB cable, and it's being detected and all, but I don't know how to bind the controls. I've got some stuff down, like fire and alt-fire, but I can't figure out how to use the joysticks to move me and my camera, along with other controls. Can someone help me? Thanks!

The games need to support that. And you do have the drivers right?

I do have drivers (or at least I'm assuming so because it works in other games with controller support, like Beamng.drive and Drive, Drive, Drive!). CS:GO does support it, as it has a whole section in settings devoted to controller bindings, but I can't find movement and camera movement in there.

@DeezNoNos Even after "restoring defaults" and enabling it, it still doesn't work. Most of the other settings are little things like "throw <insert grenade name here>"

there is a cfg file that allows you to use xbox 1 controller on source based games.

I need to recheck my info a bit, but basically if you exec that cfg file via console you can use xbox 1 controller

exec controller.360.cfg

then type (all in console)

joystick 1

to edit the key you need to go to where CS GO is, go to cfg folder and open the above mentioned file.

I tried this with a PS4 controller using in game options. It was a pain to set up and once I got it working it was REALLY hard to use. There's a reason consoles use auto-aim. Maybe a custom config would work but for me that was too much effort

Connect you controller, open steam, go to big picture mode, go to settings and then controller settings. Turn on xbox configuration support.
In your steam library right click the game and go to steam controller configuration and configure the controller how ever you want it.

Didn't do exactly what you said, instead I downloaded a configuration and modified it, but now I'll test it and see if it works.

@leelaa14 Sorry for the response taking a while. It's still not working, and do you know how to delete/override downloaded controller profiles?
