Well recently ive been getting bombarded with school projects and other professional/educational things. But I'm missing the essentials, i don't have Microsoft word, or any of them. I bought windows 10 home and was hugely dissatisfied when i realised I didn't even have any of them. Any help on how to get a trial? Or anything. I'm not going to buy them.

A lot of new laptops come with a new 365 1 year trial.

No way to get around this without ILLEGALLY TORRENTING it.(I do NOT recommend...)

Use Open Office.

Windows 365 is a paid service. There are trials you can get with new laptops.

Office online is FREE if you have a Microsoft account or a Microsoft Student account.

A student account would be had from your school if they gave you one.

Your Hotmail should have been migrated to the outlook servers by now. If not you will most likely need to make a new account and that is free.

Be mindful though the online office suite is rather limited but it does have its uses.

  • If you have a school e-mail address provided to you, you have Office 365 for free! It is waiting for you to download. Yes! Full version with everything inside! You have a full license as well, meaning you have 1TB OneDrive space + 5 licenses for your PCs/Macs and 5 other licenses for your phone/Android and iOS powered Tablets. :) So you can install and use Office for your entire home (for most people).

    Get it here: https://products.office.com/en-ca/student/office-in-education
If you don't have a school e-mail, ask your school. They might offer you it to you for free or 10-15 (usually covers the disk+shipping cost from Microsoft)

  • If your school is crap too cheap to give students their own e-mail, or even offer it through them. Then all hope isn't loss! If you have a Microsoft account (outlook, live, hotmail, etc), you can just login, go to OneDrive section, and you can access the web site version of: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, again, for free. Student or not! It has all the essential features + more. You can even share a document and have multiple people edit the document at the same time.
