Hello, I'm looking for a good VM or a Container, currently using LXC and I'm having issues with monitoring the server resources. Currently I have it so the Container gets it's own IP and I would like to have this for the new thing I'm going to use, been looking on Docker or VirtualBox.

Thoughts or ideas?

What os?

don't use virtual box, use kvm or hyper-v.

What are you doing?

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, I'm seperating the normal linux server and the Wine linux server and I may want a Testing server for later.

use kvm for vms then

I have heard the name kvm before so I'll go for that then, how does it work? LXC I install on the main server but some of the VM stuff is installed as it's own OS.

kvm is for vms, its just better than a virtual box.

phoronix did a bench mark on virtualbox vs xen vs kvm. kvm and xen came out on top with close to native performance.

I like KVM because it has a nice GUI for remote management.

Got no experience with KVM, but im using Docker all the time when i need to container a application.

Its quick, easy, and actually fun to setup your own workflow.

Would suggest pushing Docker a bit to, watch some videos try some stuff out. :)
