Do you really need to water cool a 580? If you take the money saved from not buying it, you could get a better GPU instead (1070/1080).

This.

I mean, yeah you can get good results, really good performance, and nice additional clocks but...is it worth? I really think you can get away with even better FPS and decent cooling by just selling the card and using the money to buy the AIO and just get a 1070 or get lucky and find a really good freaking deal for a 1080.

Hi everyone,

What components do I all need to water cool my gpu only? My GPU is a rx 580 and my case phanteks p400s. Budget is not really needed but I just want to know how much it will cost.

Thanks!

My own build: RΛZΞR theme

CPU: Intel Core i5 7600K // CPU cooler: Cryorig H7 // Motherboard: MSI Z270 gaming pro carbon //

Video Card: MSI Armor gtx 1070 OC 8GB // RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3200MHz //

SSD: Samsung EVO 960 500GB // HDD: 2x WD yellow edition 2TB //

Case: NZXT H440 RAZER edition // Power Supply: Corsair RM550x //

A pump, reservoir, 240mm rad, tubing, fittings (in this case 2 for each part, so 8) and a GPU block, but I'd be better to buy a vega or GTX 1070 with the money it would cost. That is if they make a block for that GPU, what version of the card is it?

Yours faithfully

Did not bought it yet. But don't you just need a block and radiator?

No, you need the pump to pump the water, a reservoir is technically optional, but makes your life A LOT easier, also some water will evaporate over time and if the loop runs dry it might damage the pump or the system could overheat, fittings are needed to attach the tubing to all the parts, they only come with threaded openings, the block cool the GPU core, VRM and VRAM if it's a full cover block, and the rad cool the liquid by exchanging heat with passing air.

Now for cost, do you want a nice EKBW cooling loop? I recommend them most times as their gear looks the nicest (IMO of course) is better built then most, although there are others that are good but costs a bit more, although, as mentioned, there are more expensive and better options sometimes. Cost would be about €400 at the most.

Yours faithfully
