Can do sometimes, but overclocking can cause stability and even speed issues, it also can drain the living life out of that chip! so if you aren't prepared to risk don't even bother.  If you are prepared for the worst to happen then go ahead and get the k version.  If you aren't then I would leave it.

Games aren't that cpu heavy for the most part. The non k haswell i5's are already plenty powerful. 

It would be just fine for gaming and overclocking a 4670k isn't much better for gaming for the moment. It will probably make a bigger difference in the future.

I'm not a wizard.

Basically whenever games get more cpu heavy.
