Headphones questions/recommendations

Audio noob inbound. So my Astro a40's came broken in the mail, and am thinking about making the switch to headphones+mod mic. To be quite honest, it didn't really sound any different nor was the mic any better so for moneys worth i don't feel like i got it. So i want to take a different approach. What i will be mainly doing is gaming and listening some music, can't forget the anime. As for what music and games, well Shooter games like battlefield, pubg, h1, etc. As for the music stuff on like monstercat and maybe some rock/metal nothing too heavy. Ok? so what is my budget and what am i looking for in a headphone? Well....for headphones i am looking for something better than the Astro A40 of course, can fit my big head, and has the "fabric" like earpads. As for the budget something like $200 with the modmic 5 included. I will also be using my old astro mixamp with this combo for console and maybe pc, depending how the onboard does. Should these headphones be ok with the 2013 astro mixamp?

What i was looking at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009S332TQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER Look pretty comfy. Any opinions/suggests would be greatly appreciated.

HyperX Cloud 2 are good. I personally have the cloud 1 and I love them. Especially considering the price.

I could list countless headphones with better audio quality, but you might not like their signature.

Could you maybe tell a bit about the sound you want?

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.
