Having video issues with .mkv files

TheSpartien

I have a couple videos on my pc that are .mpk files. When I load any of the videos the quality of the video is exactly what it is supposed to be which is 720p. My issue is that there are multiple random spots (4-5) within each video where the video will just stop and show a black screen. If I skip forward over the "dead zone" by a couple of minutes the video will be perfect again. I have tried multiple videos on VLC, windows media player, and the movies&TV program. I have also reinstalled said video players to no avail.

I am using the latest version of windows 10 as well.

Ok, it sounds like your dealing with MKV files, which are known to have some issues (but mostly with sound). I would try re-downloading these videos if you can, if you cant then try converting it to an MP4 file using VLC

Could be any range of things. From too little memory or leaks to graphics drivers. Any way you can try these same files on another system?

the files might be corrupt, most media players will try their best to play the file as it is (VLC does it the best and can try and guess that data has to go their to try and play the audio clip),

****SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH IT'S REALLY TERRIBLE*****

Been married to my wife for 3 years now! Yay!
