hi every one,

I have a question to ask, basically i´m getting a new GPU and i thought on the GTX 660, this offer: http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/NVIDIA+GeForce/GeForce+GTX+660/MSI+GeForce+GTX+660+Gaming+Edition+2048MB+GDDR5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=58172.

My question is is that a good offer or should i get something else for that money? this is my budget £150.

thank you all

with me whoever, ahead who can

660GTX is a last generation card if you can get a 700 series.

why does that matter???? the 600 series can do all the shadowplay, geforce experience, g-sync.

anyway get a 7950 it performs better than the 660. if u cant get that then the 7870 is good too

660 is pretty good, AMD equivalent would be R9 270, but go for 7950 if you can.

My rig: CPU: Intel core i5 4670K MoBo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 2x4GB 1600mhz CL9 GPU: EVGA GTX780 SC ACX SSD: ADATA Premier Pro SP900 256GBHDD: Western Digital RED 2TB PSU: FSP Aurum CM 750W Case: Cooler Master HAF XM OS: Windows 8 Pro

That card cost 20% more and is 15% over budget. Doesn't really help the op. There is always something a little better for a little more money.

The OP might want to consider an R9 270X, like this Saphire model or this XFX 270 Boost model (although it's not in stock at the moment).

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

600 series will perform less then a equivalent 700 series and consume more power why not just get the latest.

cause last gen costs less so it CAN be a viable option. especially when looking at a low budget of 150

True but I would rather wait a bit and just get the latest card.

Get this, its faster than the 270(x) and cheap as all hell. Well within your budget and as close to a HD7950 as you can get with your budget.

AMD Ryzen 5900x, Nvidia RTX 3080 (MSI Gaming X-trio), ASrock X570 Extreme4, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB @ 3200mhz CL16, Corsair MP600 1TB, Intel 660P 1TB, Corsair HX1000, Corsair 680x, Corsair H100i Platinum
