400-500 USD Photoshop/Lightroom Monitor

My job during the summer should net me some good cash. One of the things I want to invest in is a good monitor, cuz my current monitor is shit colors and shit contrast. I need a monitor for photo/video editing, and some gaming. What are the best monitors for around the 400-500 USD range for my needs? Should I skip 1080p go 1440p or 4k, and would a cheap 4k monitor suffer in other things like color and contrast? Cuz I want this to last at a while.

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

The Dell u2717d is always a great option. If you want 4k then the LG 27UD68-P is also a good option but I think there is a cheaper version with the same panel but worse build

 

Edit: I think it's the LG 27UD58-B but I'm not 100% sure.
