I just replaced my psu with a coolermaster 500 w lite and my gpu with a rx 580 sapphire pulse, but when I try to turn my pc on the frontpanel lights blink and one red light on the motherboard blinks (msi a68 HM grenade) when i press the powerbutton again , nothing happens , but when I turn my psu on and off or unplug and inplug it , and press the powerbutton again the same lights blink.

So my new pc will basically not boot up and I have no clue why,

Thanks for helping in advance!

All he needs to do is flip the switch again. If it does that hit the switch and keep it there don't just keep going on and off.

I do not really understand what you mean,

i think you understood me wrong

. The lights only blink when i press the powerbutton and will not be able to blink if I press the powerbutton again and do not blink automatically. After i flipped the psu switch /off/on and I press the power button, the lights blink again but the pc stays off.

Do the lights blink on for like half a second?

The wrong way?

both ways do not work and I believe the psu is fine, not sure tho, might it because  psu cables are not plugged in correctly or wrong installation of gpu, it was my first pc 'build'

Troubleshooting time. Try different cables. Switch back to old PSU and try it. Make sure everything is plugged in all the way. (A little force is okay) Unplug GPU, plug it back in.

Planning on starting to switch back to the old cpu (had only 6 pin  so wont work with rx 580 only with old gpu) but I saw one thing not all the way plugged in. The 20+4 pin connector, The 20 pins are in but the extra 4 pins do not seem to go in all the way, could this be the problem?
