so I just got my G.Skill TridentZ RGB memory yesterday 2x8Gb 3000MHz and installed it in my system which has an Asus Z170-AR, 6700k and gtx 980.

I installed the g.skill software and everything worked great but now after I bootup my computer 1 of the sticks keeps doing the default rainbow and wont be controlled. if I set the other to default then reboot the system they are not synced.

Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? I've tried flip flopping which module is in which ram slot and reinstalling the g.skill software.
