I am torn between this

http://www.amazon.in/dp/B01NH4YMBD/?tag=pcp03-21

And

http://www.amazon.in/Gigabyte-GA-B250M-DS3H-Motherboard-Processors-Ultra-Fast/dp/B01N2WG23X/ref=lp_1375385031_1_18?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1494079693&sr=1-18

I heard from some people that MSI is not reliable. Gigabyte is the best Motherboard manufacturers. So, I am confused now what board should I get for my new rig:

Intel - Core i5-7500 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor     OR      i5-6600
Kingston - FURY 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Asus - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB STRIX Video Card
Thermaltake - Versa H21 ATX Mid Tower Case
BenQ - GW2470H 23.8" 1920x1080 60Hz Monitor
SEASONIC S12II-620 -- S12II SERIES 620 WATT 80 PLUS® BRONZE CERTIFICATION WITH ACTIVE PFC
WD 1TB HDD

Budget: ~$850

How can you fanboy for a company with such shit support.

@Folktale MSI is perfectly reliable, I've been running multiple MSI boards for years without any issues (including a cheap H81 board in a server running 24/7). I would however recommend switching to a Ryzen R5 1400, changing the 1050Ti to an RX 470/570, and adding a 120gb ssd.

Agreed.

AsRock is also VERY reliable.

Gigabyte, Asus, Acer(Server),Msi, AsRock are all very reliable.

Given this, the boards now have more protection against this.

OP don't worry.

If the hardware is good, get it.  I will never buy a Gigabyte product again simply because of a terrible, terrible support experience.  I'm sure their hardware is mostly fine.  Their motherboard has been limping along in my system for 7 years now.  Memory support for it is still poo.

gigabyte suck, i have a gigabyte z97x-game plus motherboard and because of the way they've position the sata ports, my gpu will not fit into the x16 slot properly and will not run at x16.

so ive had to put it in the x8, not that it makes any difference but still.

msi from my experience have been the best and the bios actually works properly.

gigabyte bios is so laggy and slow to respond.

How is that possible....the sata ports are at a right angle to the board.

i meant the whole thing... if you look to the left you will see the top green x16 slot, the gpu goes over the top of the sata ports and is tight to them, making the gpu not sit flush. the sata ports are too high up.

its not a problem on my girlfriend msi z87-g55 motherboard.

i plugged both a 970 and a 1080 into my x16 slot, both reported only running at x2 speed. so i tried a smaller older gpu than wasnt nearly as long, and it reported its full speed.

tried both 970 and 1080 in the msi board x16, both reported full speed.

when i put the 970 and 1080 into my x16 slot, you can see its not sat flush, and its hitting the top of the sata ports and being blocked.

bad design.

That sounds like a you problem because there is nothing unique about that boards SATA or PCIE connectors that should cause a problem.

but it is an issue, otherwise the smaller gpu that doesnt hit the sata ports would also report x2... pretty obvious the bigger cards arent sitting flush.

my 1080 will not sit flush, its over the top of the sata ports and will not push down because its too tight.
