Currently, my computer is running on an old Intel i7-2700k GPU, Nvidea GeForce 980, Adata Premier Pro SP900 128gb SSD, Seagate Barracuda Green 1tb HDD, and a g.skill RipjawsX 1600 8gb (2 x 4gb) RAM all on an ASRock z77 Extreme4 Motherboard. I've had this build for the last five years and it has worked for what I needed it to do.

But now that I plan on doing YouTube videos, I need something stronger and more beastly. So I'm building and upgrading my PC. Her name will be Pallas Athena and these are her components:

-Master Cooler MasterCase Maker 5t Mid-Tower Case

-Ryzen 7 1800x CPU

-ASUS TOG Crosshair VI Hero AM4 AMD Motherboard

-Samsung 960 Pro m.2 512gb

-Corsair Vengeance LOX 32gb (2 x 16gb) DDR4 RAM

-Samsung 850 Evo 1tb SSD (With a heavy upgrade to a 4tb SSD later when SSDs become significantly cheaper)

-WD Black 6tb HDD

-(Depending On Benchmarks) Nvidia GeForce 1080ti or the high end AMD Vega

-Seasonic Flagship PRIME TITANIUM 850 80 Plus TITANIUM 850W Power Supply

What do you think?

1. Not a 1800X

2. Why so many SSDs?

3. You probably don't need a Black, get a Seagate or something

4. You don't need that PSU.

Hmm, budget doesnt seem to be at all an issue here.  I'd consider swapping to an asrock taichi (considered to be the best AM4 mobo by many)

As budget isn't an issue I won't suggest a swap to a 1700 to save money.  The extra 100-300mhz is worth it in some scenarios and it does increase the size of your e-peen ;)

Note*

Do you mean palace Athena?   Though tbh Pallas Athena sounds beast as well

And you can OC to 1800X speeds.

Nah, 1800X can and will hit higher speeds with more reliability than a 1700.  In nearly any situation 3.9-4ghz vs 4-4.2ghz is basically nothing but if they have the cash...

Actually.

IDK how I managed to throw enough money to get a i5 with R7 370.

Don't ask me.

What do you think?

Everything OVERKILL arghhh

OK fine. Here are my opinions:

1. Get R7 1700 and OC it as further as you can

2. Any B350/X370 mobo will work just fine, don't have to select the premium one

3. Why NVMe SSD like 960 Pro? Don't get it unless you're doing work which requires a lot of data transfer in drives and you are rich to spend a lot of money

4. 32GB is a bit overkill but that's fine

5. 6TB HDD? What? OK that's fine if you need lots of storage

7. Wow Seasonic Prime Titanium? Yeah it's a very excellent PSU but something like EVGA G2/G3 is good enough

8. Case is fine

Edit: If you are rich then forget what I had said, get the parts you like.
