You can get a Pentium G4560 + H110 motherboard (if you're willing to take a BIOS risk) for under $100

then GTX 1050Ti or RX 470 if possible

in this case, yes you do, because Ryzen 3 isn't out yet

however, just as a heads up, you shouldn't choose your brand before your CPU

Theres no risk invovled

all motherboard manufacturers state exactly which CPU is supported and with which BIOS revision

a simple BIOS flash may be needed but that CPU + MOBO is still a very good option

oh. forgot about that GPU you already have.

H110 motherboard sometimes don't support a G4560 if they have an old BIOS. then you need a skylake CPU to update.

A G4560 has hyperthreading.

this would be a good option because it is a good motherboard and the cpu is a quad core

A Z series motherboard is a waste with a locked CPU.

Pentium G4560 + Asus B150 for $125

AND you get to re-use your current DDR3 ram

and i would still want something more expensive since i have 125 to spare.

Don't spend money just because you have it. Save it.

You can re-use the RAM you already have if you buy a board that supports DDR3.

No it's not.
