Every processor in any brand graphics card is the same. You can Overclock. It will be the same with any other graphics card.

not exactly true. many companies bin their GPU's in certain lines of cards. it may not lead to tremendously better performance, but it can often lead to lower power requirements/thermals in order to get there.

will the evga ftw3 gtx 1080ti overclock the same as the zotac amp extreme. i know about the lottery   its just will some overclock better than others 100% or at least higher chance :)

both cards are great and you will not be disappointed with either. its worth noting the Zotac card is a 2.5 slot card, which means it has a thicker heatsink for better heat dissipation at the cost of it being a much larger sized card (could interfere with physical compatibility in some cases or SLI. If i were you I would make my decision on aesthetics, or warranties, or whatever you want... performance will be quite close either way.

If it's the same chip and not including the lottery then yes.The thing to watch about is heat.

99% of the cards will get between 2000 and 2200MHz overclock, regardless of what brand you buy from or what model you get or what cooling or power delivery it has.

The GTX1000 series is limited by the silicon lottery, not how much power you can throw at it.

Don't pay more for an overclocked card, because when you overclock it yourself you will almost certainly still hit 2000-2200MHz.

Obviously better cooling will mean you can run the fans slower and quieter though.
