Are there any quad core convertibles apart from expensive Surface lineup?

Yes, Lenovo Yoga 720

Are there any convertibles with a dedicated graphics? Or they are too large for that? Maybe a very lightweight laptop with dgpu on it?

Many, HP Spectre x360, Lenovo Yoga 720 etc.

I think Yoga 720 suits you but I'm not sure about its pricing...

Requirements:

  • Screen size: anywhere 13"-15.6" no larger. I am looking at both flexible laptops that can rotate almost 360 degrees and laptops that have detachable keyboards though I am leaning on the first part as the second one usually very slow.
  • I want to be able to do some gaming on it, I am totally fine with low settings. I am upgrading from a core i3 5005u with HD 5500 iGPU. Been looking at 6th gen i5 (sadly only dual core so far) with HD 520 and the results seems really nice.
    • Are there any quad core convertibles apart from expensive Surface lineup?
    • Are there any convertibles with a dedicated graphics? Or they are too large for that? Maybe a very lightweight laptop with dgpu on it?
  • I might do some video editing but I've been doing on my previously mentioned i3 no problem
  • An SSD would be nice. At least there should be option to expand storage to fit another SSD. At least 500GB of any storage.
  • Under $1000 USD.
  • Windows OS obviously. 8 or 10 or 7 doesn't matter as I can upgrade it.
  • Somewhat decent battery, though I'll be plugged in most of the time.
  • At least 1 normal size USB. Disc drive is not needed.
  • And as mentioned above, an i5 Skylake or Kabylake at least is preferred to be a worthwhile upgrade from my current laptop. An i7 might be out of budget.
  • 1080p would be nice, though I could live up with a 768p

A bit over budget but meets anything you want.

Edit: The cheapest one with GTX 1050 is on sale.

I really like Microsoft's Surfaces. I use one everyday. I have the i5 model and it can play minecraft at its high resolution well, but thats all I've tested.

Computers r fun

There's also no such thing as a full-featured 1080 in a laptop if they all thermal throttle.
