Won't re-post when restarted

Hi,

My freshly setup PC to screw around with is not re-posting when I restart it from Windows or BIOS. Just a black screen on restart. It will post when fully shut down & restarted that way. Also had issue with blue screen & Windows will shut down in one minute errors. I have Windows 7 64 bit installed now because the system makes Windows 10 unmountable after first cumulative up date in build 1707. 

 

Any thoughts?

I am thinking that you are right. I don't feel like swapping in my 1090t to it right now. Heard somthing on New Egg were I bought it that AM2 CPU's don't like DDR3. At least it will start after shut down.

It was the CPU. Swapped in a Quad AMD 640 out of a HP PC that I got from work. Computer restarts and shuts down.
