It's fine, the CPU will just hold the GPU back in many games.

The dualcore will likely hold the GPU back most of the time, but it works :)

GTX 1060 can play pretty much anything at highest settings at 1080p, but when the games become more CPU intensive, like GTA V you'll see the frames dipping.

Not becuase of the GPU lacking in horspower, but the i3 probably wouldn't be able to keep up.

Should probably at least upgrade to a 2400 or even a 3770

2600 or 3770. That would be a 1080p or 1440P monster.

If your using a LGA1155 socket try upgrading to a Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor as well.

A G4560 requires LGA1151, and would be outperformed by an Ivy Bridge i5/i7, both would end up being cheaper upgrades.

I misread the socket type, but yeah unless you have a good mobo and can get a really nice processor for cheaper than it would cost to get a new mobo and G4560 then its a good upgrade to look into alongside the GPU.

It's not really that good of an upgrade compared to a 3570/3770 (which you could no question get for <$200), and even an H61 board can handle a 3570/3770.
