Hey internet,

So I'm planning my second build now and I'm looking at making it a mini-itx build but also going for like...borderline obnoxious amounts of RGB lighting.  My girlfriend and I were looking to build something for her that kind of scratches that "Gay Unicorn bullshit" aesthetic with ridiculous amounts of rainbow colors so Corsair Vengance RGB sticks, Kraken x62, I'm gonna be putting the works into this little guy.  It's mostly going to be used for art, some content creation, and light gaming.  I was hoping I could get some opinions on either how to save a couple bucks or, more importantly, will all my parts fit into the case I've chosen?  Or if there's just a better way to do the lighting then by all means let me know.  I haven't done a mini itx build before so I got a case that still had some extra room to play with, but I still would welcome any and all thoughts you might have as build vetting is only something I've had to do once before on my own!

Here's the parts list, let me know what you think!!

Only thing I might say is get a 570 instead as they're only a little more expensive and are over 25% faster. Maybe something like this GPU:

I would've said get 1600+1070 instead but there aren't itx am4 boards yet :/. If you're willing to wait though, there should be ones out in june.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

If I could find a 570 that comes in white, that would be a good option, I forgot to mention I'm mostly looking for white internal components save the RAM and cpu cooler  And yeah, I wanted to put a Ryzen 7 series cpu into this computer, but no can yet unfortunately.

Plus I doubt she would want to sacrifice the white mobo with RGB lights on it just for a slightly better cpu.  Ride or Die for the Aesthetic.

"Art and some content creation combined with light gaming"

PLEASE

You just slapped one of the most high end gaming CPU's with the nicest looking AIO, Corsair RGB RAM, a great budget gaming GPU at 1080p, M.2 SSD, 3TB storage with one of THE most beloved PSU's on the market. NOT TO MISS MY FAVORITE MITX CASE

And your point is?  She's gonna be using this for the next 7-10 years and we've got the budget so there's no reason for us to not go for it.

But I'm glad you approve of my picks at least.

But I get your point, unless she plans on doing some serious rendering I can probably downgrade the cpu to an i5 or something comparable.

I was just joking a bit.

For what you explained I expected a pentium with a slight overclock and a 1050ti, not a 7700k.

For light gaming and media creation on that level that's honestly enough.

But as you say, if she wants it to hold up for that it's a good choice.

Even with that in mind I'd still not go past an i5 tbh, but that's me :)

Yeah no worries mate, plus this way I won't have processor envy lol.
The main thing I'm worried about though is if the 280mm rad would fit in that case.  The specs say it supports a 280mm rad, but I can't seem to find anything about what overall dimensions it can handle.

I actually have that case for MY gf's build, and I'm using an H100i in it as intake.

Space shouldn't be an issue, I feel like I had much left to work with even.
