I mean.. a 980ti is plenty.

Which decision you go for there is completely up to you

My GPU just died, so i need a new one that can play at 1440p with. I was just wondering how much of a problem is crossfire going to cause. I am thinking about getting 2x 480. I would buy a 1070 but, for the price where i live it doesn't make much sense, i could almost buy 3 480s for the price of ref 1070. Nvidia is so overpriced here that 1050TIs are close to price to 480s 4GB.

So i would like if someone with experience with crossfire would give me some advice.

Same, here GTX 1070 is $560 lol

Well just get a single RX 480

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

Welcome to the forums!

No matter if it's crossfire or SLI it'll give you some kind of issues, usually smaller but in the numbers.

Some games don't scale with it, sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it turns itself off.

It's a bit of a hassle, really.

Where are you from? There are AMD cards like the Fury that packs a bit more punch than the 480!

I know, i had one...then it died. RIP

I don't like buying used, anyway i just checked...there are no used Fury cards near me, the best i could do is a used 980TI but its priced at 20%-25% less then 2 480s.

The 980ti is basically a GTX 1070, if it's at a good price - go for it!

I would like 60fps on high/ultra and i don't think 480 could do that, i am actualy thinking of buying a 470 and waiting for vega.

But that is a risk.

Since the GTX 1070 is so overpriced in your and my place, why don't we get two? Anyways SLI don't increase for gaming and just for benchmark, i think crossfire is like that too

Or this

and save money for couple of months and buy Vega?
