Playing Dark Souls 3 on PC.

When I travel from bonfires, after the loading screen the textures in the environment take a couple of seconds to load. The textures are all there, just low resolution until the detail pops in?

I'm asking as I just upgraded my graphics card to gtx 1050 ti, and Dark Souls 3 is doing some funny stuff.

Glitch? Vram issue? Is it normal? Anyone else see this?

A certain amount of noticeable asset streaming is normal in that game. I don't think it requires nor uses a particularly large amount of VRAM regardless of how much you have, it's just a matter of how the game was designed to stream textures in. From Software has come a long, long way, but they still make very console-centric games.

That being said, how much worse is it than it was before you got the new video card?

Tbh I never noticed it. I'm probably just noticing it now because I got a new card :)
