My ghetto solution to GPU sag

That's a 980 Ti FTW with arctic xtreme iii. Unfortunately I didn't take a before pic (the sag was quite bad as I had to remove my front/back plate to fit the cooler).

I used zip ties and strings. This can probably be done with just zip ties, but the string makes it look better I guess. Honestly this mod has been pretty easy to do (granted you find a good spot on the GPU shroud to zip tie to).

I can now sleep in peace knowing my PCIE slot and GPU PCB isn't getting more deformed day by day xD (last I checked, there's already visible deformation on the PCIE slot lol)

Nothing wrong with it. I would get fishing line or something similar. Clear line wouldn't be as easily seen.

You merely adopted the ghetto, I was born into it, molded by it.

That's a p nice solution tbh.
One time I made a pc work by using scotch tape to hold wires together.

I make bad life decisions.

Fishing string costs a couple bucks here. I didn't want to spend any money and I had left over strings so... I have a Define R5 without side windows anyways, no one's gonna see it lol.

I'm not sure why I bothered with the strings, zip ties only would've been better as strings lengthen over time.

That's not too ghetto, the boxes just help with airflow. The ghetto part is the TANGLE OF WIRES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Also the fishing line (?) to hold the fans is a good idea.

I had my back output fan held on by supermarket twist ties for a while.

You want ghetto? HOW BOUT, AN AIO, HELD ON BY STRINGS (which I'm not sure why it's not in my ghetto album)

Dead silent on idle/light worklight, just the way I like it. (I'm so happy this MB supported voltage fan control, 422 rpm on the noctua, 203 rpm on the typhoons, on idle/light)

Definitely still audible on load though. I'll probably get the caylos case in a few years.

I really like Noctua coolers, people complain about them aesthetically but since all I care for is how good my stuff looks on screen rather than under the hood I can't help but advise Noctua every time.

The case feels a bit tight for all these components and I personally prefer the PSU facing down when the case allows it to drag air from beneath but I definitively think you did the best you could do with what you got at hand!

Cheers! ^^
