SSD Boot Drive

I've been looking for an ssd to pick up to use as a boot drive since Black Friday is coming up and I assume plenty will go on sale, so which drives would you guys recommend to use, or am I just being stupid and any will do?

I am a big fan of Plextor drives.  One of the big benefits of having a Plextor drive over a Samsung is the reliability.  I've read a lot of different posts and have experienced them myself, Plextor has never failed me or the people who use them.  Not only do they have a longer life span than Samsung drives, but they also come with a better warranty(5 years) to back that up. You never have to worry about spending your hard earned money just to flush it down the drain when your drive fails because it is out of warranty.  

 

To put the icing on the cake, they also have incredible real world performance.  According to Plextor the M5P Xtreme drives get 100k read and 89k IOPS.  In my testing, I was able to get around 90k and 80k. If you compare these to Samsung drives, there isn't much of a difference.  When all is said and done, you will not notice any difference with your computer booting up and how fast things load. There just isn't enough of a difference. So why not choose reliability over the slight speed difference you would get with the Evo Pro?

I wonder this also because the 250gb drive is priced far better than the 120gb like far better.
