HI, guys, I'm building my first ever own PC, and i run into a lot of problem since I'm a begineer, I'm using a cooler master mastercase 5 and asus maximus IX hero MB, I was trying to get the wire connected, but I run into a lot of issues with connecting the front panel IO,

I'm not sure how to plug in these connectors, both the case and MB manual doesn't talk about these plugs, Can anyone offer some help please.

The following is the MB layout

Please help me, I'm so thrilled and frustrated

Thanks

The front panel headers go into the groups of pins labelled F_Panel at the bottom right of the motherboard.

Snip

If you cannot find it in the motherboard manual (its definitely there somewhere, but sometimes not in an obvious place, @Sors says 1-26), the pinouts are often labeled on the motherboard near to the connectors (in super small writing, but its there)... I know they are on the Z170-A and H170 Pro Gaming from Asus that i've worked with, so they will likely be somewhere on that Asus board as well (they were also labeled in the manual though, so double check that first)

Yup, just double checking and displaying my excitement over it by asking if it's what I though is was, kind of like when someone gives you a present you've been wanting for ages and you say, "Really? For me?".

Does the PLED + and -matters?

Those are the leds, and they only light up if you plug them with the correct polarity, nothing is damaged if you plug them backwards, the lights just don't turn on, you can reverse the connector if it doesn't work, the motherboard usually have the + pin marked.

Mystery is the source of all true science.
