AMD 7870k Overclock

Hi all,

 

Trying to overclock my AMD 7870k black but i keep getting a OC watchdog timeout error, at 4.6GHz Any ways on getting around this

 

Asus X88 gamer 

Corsair 550 CX

AMD7870k

 

If you need anything else le tme know

maybe adjust your voltage abit higher or a voltage offset?

 

hows the temps looking?

are using the iGPU? if so are you also overclocking that too?

if not have you disabled the iGPU?

 

I think I got mine to around 4.4GHz CPU ~1GHz GPU a year ago. haven't used the machine in while or updated the bios.

Seems about right for those chips, 4.7ghz is the top range for no gpu enabled

It makes for a nice cheap light gaming pc. can't wait for the ryzen, vega APU's.
