Is this backlight bleed?

Hello dear linustechtips readers, 
I just recently got myself a pg278qr and have experienced some funky colours when it is on a full black screen which I suspect to be backlight bleed, however I believed this to be only happening on ips panels rather than tn ones.

Firstly i would like to ask if this is indeed blb or something else and secondly if this would be a significant enough issue to warrant an rma.

eeesh yh thats pretty bad, shame on ASUS for letting that one out the factory

tbh the entire monitor seems to be a little low quality, just now noticed that a dead pixel also developed itself..

Yes it is but do you know if it is due to some setting that is on/off or was it like that out of the box? Was this new/used/refurbished?

it could be a setting however if it is it must have come with it since it had this out of the box, and it is a new product as far as I know

You're not guaranteed to get something better. You may end up with the same quality issues or worse.

wast week i bought pg279q and it had alot of ips glow
