Hello dear linustechtips readers,
I just recently got myself a pg278qr and have experienced some funky colours when it is on a full black screen which I suspect to be backlight bleed, however I believed this to be only happening on ips panels rather than tn ones.

Firstly i would like to ask if this is indeed blb or something else and secondly if this would be a significant enough issue to warrant an rma.

thank you in advance

Just now, Leonard said:

Yes it is but do you know if it is due to some setting that is on/off or was it like that out of the box? Was this new/used/refurbished?

it could be a setting however if it is it must have come with it since it had this out of the box, and it is a new product as far as I know

do you think I should try and refund it and spend another aprox 130$ to get an ips version of it, 279q?

You're still going to play QA musical chairs, so it's up to you.

New + in that condition + the cost = send it back with a wtf!
