Can't boot onto SSD

Copied my HDD onto the SSD and proceeded to enter BIOS and choosing the SSD as 1st boot under Boot Option Priorities as well as 1st boot under HDD BBS Priorities.

But when I actually try to boot the PC it tells me:

 

Not sure on how to go about setting up the SSD... Should I try to format my HDD and then try again or should I just try to unplug my HDD, boot on SSD then format the HDD?

What did you use to move the OS from your HDD to SSD?

Did it switch from AHCI or IDE to something else?

 

Also, insert the install disc and repair startup.

 

And unplug the hdd.

One of the SATA setting screens will have the "mode" set to either AHCI, IDE, or RAID.  It's possible when you plugged in the new drive it got reset and Windows doesn't like that setting getting changed.

Go into the BIOS and it should be there. Just look up how to do it with your motherboard.

Did you migrate the data, or clone the drive? Migrating just moves your stuff, and cloning copies over everything, including the boot files, so you can then boot from it.

The HDD that I cloned from is still intact, with everything on it, yes.

Halp!

 

I can't boot on to the SSD to format my HDD, it gives me the exact some problem all over again...

It doesn't say anything about AHCI/IDE in BIOS, but in Device Manager it says Standard SATA AHCI Controller.

 

Still need help guys, any suggestions?
