I have a problem when playing games like rust, and sometimes in h1z1 i will get fps drops. Mainly in Rust though, I will go from 100 fps to 2 and it happens often. I was wondering if upgrading to this ram with fix the issue or if the issue is the ram in the first place. The reason i think its the ram is because when i get my drops my memory usage is at 99%

Upgrade the RAM first. Low GPU VRAM may cause FPS drops (lags/freezes) too.

Its a combination of not enough ram and poor optimization. I've seen rust use upwards of 12GB ram. It should help a good bit.

Unsure what power supply to pick?

Check out my HTPC build.

Don't get the "k" if you have an h97 board but the 4790 is a great upgrade.

Also keep in mind its best not to use mixed ram for the best compatibility. But it should work either way.

I was only planning on using this ram by itself
