AMD Ryzen for VMs

Hello,

A bit new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone here has used the new AMD Ryzen 7 CPUs for virtual desktops and servers? I was thinking that the 8 cores would make it better for creating a virtual lab.

it should work, it uses amd's virtualization thing 

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB 

138 is a good number.

What software will you use? Do they support AMD's virtualization technology?

I'm guessing Ryzen having lots of cores is well suited for VM environments?

That is what I am hoping for. I'd like to build a decent gaming desktop that will also act as a VM farm for training and testing.

Virtual Box or VMware. I know VMware does but my Linux Administration class requires us to use Virtual Box.
