Hello everyone

I am trying to build a system for a friend and am currently trying to make it as cheap as possible without buying used parts.

At the moment I have a complete build but would like some feedback to find out if I can further reduce the price (without decreasing performance)

These are the current parts:

Motherboard: ASRock H110M-DVS R3.0 (52.14€)

CPU: Intel i5 7400 (174.84€)

Graphics Card: MSI Geforce GTX 1050 2G OC (118.18€)

RAM: 8GB Crucial DDR4 2133 CL15 Single (53.04€)

PSU: Corsair CX450M (51.85€)

Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB (90.71€)

(Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i, only if the stock cooler is not sufficient)

I would appreciate any help and feedback. (Do note that I am from Austria which means that the prices you propose may differ)

so i would get a Pentium g4560 with a b250 motherboard if you are going with a gtx 1050. the reason for this suggestion is because you wont see a performance difference with the gtx 1050 paired with a Pentium versus an i5

not with that gpu. the quad core wont give you better performance in games when paired with a low end gpu. you would need a rx 480 or above to start to see a difference between the two.

@Jubsi

Slightly over but a great budget combo. your budget doesn't allow for a quad core it doesn't leave enough money for the gpu.

Crucial has ssd's for roughly $20 cheaper at each price point. And they perform just as well. Also, you could get a bronze non modular psu for $15 less. A cryorig H7 isn't a bad option for the price if your looking to save money on the gpu cooler.

Ok I switched out the CPU for an Penium g4560 and the mainboard for one with a B250 Chipset which brings the total cost (including Case and CPU Cooler) down to 540€ which is good since cheaper is in this case better ^^

Don't get an aftermarket cpu cooler of you are going with the Pentium. That money would be better spent elsewhere. The cpu that comes with the Pentium is good enough as you can't overclock so you don't need the extra thermal headroom.
