Yes i understand that laptops need to have much smaller fans than normal and this might lead to a warmer CPU but the other day i noticed my idle laptop was sitting at 60C with lower temps at 47C, these temps did fluctuate

My questions are simple

1. This ok temps for the laptop?

2. Any ways that i can cool it better without buying anything extra?

Specs are as follows

Intel® Core™ i5-7200U

8GB DDR4 RAM

1TB Hardrive

what brand/model is the laptop? you might be able to find information on if this is normal for the laptop or how to fix it.

It is the HP Pavillion 15-au181sa and i will, some reason that has never crossed my mind hahaha

A lot of modern laptops (even things as old as my E4300 or E4310) won't turn the fans on until somewhere in the 50-60C range, so those idle temps are fairly normal. And temps aren't really something to worry about unless they get retardedly high under load, since most laptop CPU's are happy running up to 90C (like the M580 in my E4310).
