Hey there!

So i tinkered around with my newly aquired 7700k the other day. I reached a stable OC of 5GHz with 1.35 volt and under 100% load the CPU was sitting around 70-80 celsius. It was all fine and dandy untill today. For some reason the OC refuses to stuik. In bios the right numbers are there but as soon as i boot into windows and look at the NZXT CAM software, that i monitor temps and whatnot with, the CORE CLOCK has gone down to 4.1GHz at a voltage of 1.15. This is lower than the stock 4.2 GHz... I tried resetting BIOS to optimized default and reedoing the OC without success. What am I doing wrong?

For the record. This is one of my first times Overclocking.

Any help is appreciated!

Is that under a stress test or at idle?

Both. Currently playing Overwatch and still 4.900 MGhz

Wait, WTF? You've just said it runs at 4.1... now you're saying it's running at 4.9?? Get your stuff together, man.

Take a print of HWMonitor while stress testing, please, let us see what's going on.

CPU-z would be better. It shows the range of multiplier.

Looks fine to me, says it can go up to 50.

If you want to c=heck if it works run cinebench or some other benchmark.
