Asking for some more advice on my first build after some more time and optimization.

So, first off I'm swiss, 14 and I don't speak English very well so please excuse that. I wanna build my first own PC. Right now I use a prebuilt Acer Predator G3-605 with an Intel i7 4770 and I upgraded it like around 1 year ago with a GTX 970. I think upgrading is not really an option because I know nothing about the PC and can't seem to find any information about my Motherboard etc. I'll probably use it as a server or something, not sure yet. I've been saving for some time now and have around 2000.- (CHF) for my PC Build. Ryzen caught my attention because I wanna use my PC for streaming, 4K video and photo Editing and Gaming. https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZZqJ2R this is the build I made. What do you guys think, do you have any advice or something you would change? I know you are probably gonna tell me that Ryzen is bad for 1080p gaming or that a GTX 1080Ti is overkill for 1080p gaming. But I actually wanna upgrade my monitor to 1440p and 4K for editing and gaming, so I think this build is the best way to go for the next 4-6 years right? If there's anything you would change or you don't like about it feel free to tell me. I'm open-minded and I know it can't be perfect because it is my first build I ever made.

Looks good! Personally, if you're doing video editing, you should probably have another disk for a scratch disk, and just another drive in general for more storage. Some video files and games can take up a lot of space.

I'd throw in one or two mechanical drives for more storage. Video work can use a lot of space.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

If you're just getting started, just a simple WD Blue should do you fine.

An old 1TB one isn't bad. If you can afford it a WD Blue 1TB isn't a bad drive. I stand by that drive and I recommend it.

Very much agreed. I have a Blue that's been in a 24/7 server for a while now with no issues.

I don't get how this should be a better quality PSU. The certificate's worse and the SuperNova is fully modular aswell.

Ok, but why the "better PSU"? Even my 650W one was enough for upgrades and overkill, don't you think so? And I'll probably downgrade to a GTX 1080, but I wanna be as future-proof as possible. That's why I think the TI is the best to go with.

The TI is fine if you are gonna go to 4k. As for PSU better quality internals.

Yeah, agreed heard that many times. But I don't think you can call EVGA a bad Chinese Firecracker PSU as we call it in German.

Certifications below platinum don't mean much outside efficiency. The NEX series G1/B1 are 80+ Gold/Bronze but the quality of components is poor.

Ok, you are the third person saying that now so I guess you guys have to be somewhat trustworthy. What would you recommend then PSU wise?

Either of the ones we replaced in your parts list. Either the Seasonic of the G3 will be great.

Ok, then ty mate. And btw what do you think about the 600p series SSD? Should I pick a Samsung Evo SSD for the 600p because I heard M.2 is literally useless in Windows PC's?
