I doubt that is common occurance, you might be an outlier on that front.

It's probably not that common. But personally I wouldn't take the risk. You want that thing to work flawlessly. And corsairs support sucked so I just live with mine being fucked up. (Air bubbles insdide it is my best guess because you have to pretty much turn your case upside down to get rid if the noise the bubbles make. (I've checked several times that it is installed correctly) And corsair link that controlls it is a horrifc program. He probabsbly wouldn't have any troubles but I would just play it safe to avoid any future headaches.

Even if he said nothing over 4k, doesnt mean you have to make a 4k PC to him... 6950k is just a waste of money, not worth it.

It did not mean I did not either. If you read the post I said he could knock $1300 off the price right off the bat and lose little performance, maybe 15%, then compared it to being Superman fast with a 7700k or 1800x as opposed to the Flash's speed with the 6950x (They are fictional super heroes if you are not familiar, but both very very fast). Some would say a Ryzen 1800x is a waste of money if it does not save enough time for them and they have the money. Feel free to stand on a pedestal if you like, or build a less expensive PC for him instead of wasting your time criticizing me for sticking to his budget and putting a together a parts list akin to a professional level rendering machine. One that most content creators would be mighty excited to have.

There is enough youth in this world, how about a fountain of smart?
