What's the question here? Should you upgrade your current PC with the parts you are accumulating for your new build, until you have everything for your new build in? That's pretty much up to you. i might throw the gpu in, and RAM if it is supported (I didn't look at the list), but I'd only do minor tweaks, I wouldn't build everything one at a time inside my old case unless I was re-purposing the case too.

There is enough youth in this world, how about a fountain of smart?

the older generation pci-e lanes won't do anything to bottleneck the graphics card, don't worry about it. if you can spend $40 more i'd get a zotac gtx 1070 mini from amazon, or get a gtx 980ti from evga b-stock for $260.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

here is an update

i ended going with a 1050 TI was on sell and fit well into my budget

upgraded to a 480GB Sandisk ultra SSD also on sell.

but when i went to do the installs and clean out my old antec 900 case i found that few of the fans were not working. so i decided  i save money on my budget to upgrade my cast CPU cooler and fans. so upgraded to a S340 and a cooler-master CPU air-cooler  once the refresh is done i'll post the new look vs the old look  pictures for you all. after all said an done was able to full refresh my PC for about $350 Also had to add a USB 3.0 header card for the PC case. 8)

So I finally finished my updates I upgraded from a antec 900 PC case With stock Intel cooler.  To a s 340 NZXT  and a much better cooler I had to upgrade my case because  when I looked into it all my antec proprietary fans was going out.  And lack of dust filters
