Hi guys I recently got this new gpu (evga gtx 750ti ftw) and I put it in my motherboard and plug it in and the fans are spinning, but the problem is the pc can't detect it for somereason and when I try to plug in the monitor plug(dvi) it shows "no signal" and it doesn't show up on device manager. I am trying to make the default pcie express for the gpu in the bios but i can not find the option to do so.(Gigabyte Z77X UD 5H) keep in mind it only shows the onboard graphics

Best,

Zusher

Hi! Where did you get this 750 Ti? It sounds like it's dead, most likely. Or the PCI-E slot is dead but that doesn't happen as often. Try your best to boot with it connected to the monitor. If you can't, try to return it.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Yeah connect it before turning the PC on.

And in the future make sure the hardware works before you pay for it ;)

WAIITTT hold up my gpu has a dvi i and i use dvi d does this affect anything

Shouldn't affect it, as far as I know you can connect DVI-D (pinless) male connectors into DVI-I (with pins) females. Just in case, try to connect it into a TV with an HDMI cable.
