Fellow Techies,

I have fallen to the shiny side.... Mac. I have gotten use to their keyboards and find it somewhat similar to older Thinkpad keyboards in how they feel. Now, does anyone know of a Mac like keyboard that will work with Windows? The layout does not have to be like Mac, but the feel does. Back-lighting is not needed but would be a cool plus. Thank you in advance.

Instructions for frustration management:

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

I never said I was smart, just smart enough to be dangerous.

ORLY?

I have a Logitech k760. It's blue tooth and solar powered and has a mac like feel. There's also the larger version that uses a wireless dongle and has the number pad.

you could always go with a Apple keyboard.

i am sure there are many others too.

I would go with a Mac Keyboard but it doesn't work well unless you download special software, so if you need to use it in bios or before it gets to windows then you are screwed.

I have not seen the K760. Do you know what the version is called that uses a USB dongle?

Well the k750, I think there might have been a new one since then, was a full size board with number pad.

their keyboards (modern post 2008 I believe) aren't that bad (desktop side)

I like the design, the keys feel ok

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

I've never used the surface keyboard, but from 2014-2015 I used an iMac and then a macbook air every day at work, and hated typing on a chiclet-style keyboard while using a desktop.

MacBook Air keyboard is different from a Mac desktop keyboard. Well, from what I can tell.. I've only used a MacBook (late 2009), MacBook Pro (mid 2012) and MacBook Pro (2016) and only the MacBook Pro sorta feels like it. Imagine that, but less resistant, and better key caps.

I've used the apple desktop keyboards (wired and wireless) extensively.  And the keyboard on my old 2014 air.  Probably used the desktop keyboard with the air.  Now I have a 2015 MBP as my work computer.  The MBP feels better than the apple desktop keyboard, and I almost like it.

I have seething hatred for the apple wired mouse though.  What a useless pile of garbage.
