ASUS GTX 670 Disposal?

Luc401

Hey guys,

As some of you may know my 670 caught fire one day last year after a power flicker. It was within warranty during that time so I sent it in and they sent it back with a new piece on the PCB soldered on. This worked for a month or two then it just wouldn't turn on anymore...

So now I am stuck with a nice 670 that is out of warranty and does not work, I am wondering how I should get rid of this as it has been sitting in a draw for a year.

In the PCB picture the area in red is where there was replacement parts.

I assume it all depends where you live. Where I usually am in Spain we have an Electronics Disposal place (next to other types of not-very-common thing disposal places) at almost each town. Maybe a quick search on Google will help you. 'Electronics disposal near X' or you can donate it to a place where they try to fix it and then sell it cheap. Hope I helped ;)

If it doesn't work just put it in the bin.

Well I didn't find any place like this in NS just because I haven't needed one yet. I'm liking Canada so far :P
