Specs:

Hard Drive: Crucial M4 SSD (5 years old, from when I got my PC)

CPU: Intel i7-3770 (5 years old, from when I got my PC)
GPU: Nvidia GTX 760 (3 years old)
Motherboard: Dell OptiPlex 7010 (5 years old, from when I got my PC)

RAM: DDR3 1333Mhz 8GB (3 years old)

PSU: Coolermaster 500w (3 years old)

Moniters:   Moniter 1: 1080p 60hz      Moniter 2: 1080p 144hz

My problem:

Random freezes when: Transferring big files, having too many chrome tabs open (I know thats ram), playing games like GTA V, and even just random freezes out of nowhere.

My computer just freezes randomly for 1-2 seconds.

I know my parts are old, but which one do you think is causing the problem or how do I test for this?

Which part should I upgrade first? (I cant do ram/cpu since my mobo doesn't support anything better).

What is the RAM usage when these crashes occur? If you are using more than 7GB when the crashes occur it is likely a lack of RAM causing the problem.

An I7, even a 3xx0 one, should still be perfectly fine today. While a little old, a 760 should be good enough too (and not affect file transfers!).

What is your CPU usage like? Sounds like it could be your usage is at 100%. You can use something like Coretemp to monitor your usage or HWmonitor.

My temps are good. Months ago my GPU used to hit up to 103 degrees for about a week before I realized it and reapplied thermal paste inside. Do you think I fried it permanently or something?

CPU usage looks good. 25% usage with 20+ chrome tabs and csgo open rn. I watch for spikes and it never spikes more than 35%

My ram is always up at 6-7 GB since I usually have alot of chrome tabs and a game open. This is my first guess at what the problem is, but i cant do anything about it since my mobo only supports 8gb 1333mhz DDR3. Lol it sucks.

If I recall correctly I've watched my ram when transferring files before and I dont think it hits max ram. I'll check  later though
