I am going on a backpacking trip soon, and need a good cheap dap with great battery life. I can only spend around of $50 bucks(and it can't be made by Apple). It does not need to be the best looking or anything, all I really care about is battery life and that it does not sound like crap. I am playing FLAC files ripped from a CD (@ 16bit 44100 hz), so I don't need anything very fancy (and I can convert the files to anything if I need to). There is a ton of crap in this price range, and most of the threads already made about something like this are in a higher price range and/or are very old, so I need some good suggestions or a point in the right direction.

Yeah, that's probably not going to happen.

$50 is not a lot to spend on a DAP and the first thing to go, when the price goes down, is battery life.

The cheapest DAP i would recommend is the FIIO X1, but they start at $80 and the battery life isn't great.

If you're willing to look used the the Sansa Clip Zip would probably be your best bet. The battery life isn't all that great, but it can be had for cheap.
