well i would look at some power draw numbers from reviews and see where it is at. it is quite likely you will be fine. also you should definitely be fine if you don't play games but i think you should probably be fine even if you do. may i ask what cpu you are running with it?

If a GPU says "minumum PSU 500W", but i run it on a 450W PSU, will i have any issues if i never use the computer for gaming?
To be more specific, i'm talking about a Radeon R9 270 2GB PowerColor TurboDuo.

the manufacturer's PSU wattage suggestions tend to be greatly overexaggerated to account for different components in the pc, different number of amps on the 12v rail and varying quality of the power supplies used. you'll be fine with a 450w psu as long as it's decent quality. which psu do you have?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Both the PSU and CPU are fairly ancient, but again - no games will be played on it.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300
PSU: Linkworld LPJ12-25 450W ATX

oh god, no. that psu seems really shitty. i would get a better psu instead of risking your pc with that.

GPU manufacturers overestimate required wattage because some power supplies are really, really shitty.

yours, as an example, is something i wouldnt use with an R9 270 ;)

Alright, thanks for the help and warning.
