Currently I have a Pcpartpicker set up with an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 + a GTX 1070, but I'm not able to buy it all until June.

I don't know much about vega or the new intel cpus, but should they be something to consider? Would intels cpus all be over 300? is vega going to kill the 1070? should I wait?

I honestly do not think a Vega GPU would be able to beat a 1070 effectively, and if so, it would have to be some binned chip. I don't know, though. I would just go for a 1070. A 6600k or 7600k would pair good with it.

All intel 6-core CPUs would be over $400 unless they drastically change everything, which they most likely won't do.

Vega might kill the 1070. we don't know until it launches. surprisingly we don't even have reliable leaks.

Vega is rumored to be trading blows with a 1080 based on the demos AMD has given, but price is still unknown, also we still need to wait and see how/if game optimization helps Ryzen on a larger scale, like it did with Ashes of the Singularity, in the long run it depends more on which games you play and what Resolution you play at, like at 4k you get more GPU bound so a higher end GPU is generally more important then a higher clocked CPU but at 1080p gaming you see CPU become more important and the higher clockspeeds of Intel chips win there, but if improvements like in AOS come to more games Ryzen being the bottleneck might get lifted, honestly it's to early to judge Ryzen and WAY to early for Vega, we don't even have pricing on Vega yet.
