Hi. My cpu 6700K stock. Is worth upgrade to better cpu for games? If yes ,for what cpu?

That CPU is really really good, i wouldn't see any reason to upgrade just yet

Not in my opinion. The CPU can be cranked to 4.7GHz on all cores and will handle all the 1080p frames your GPU can demand from it. the 6700k is no slouch.

No. It's one of the best CPUs you can buy for gaming today.

 

Have you tried overclocking it?

You can't directly even if you wanted to.

It would be a motherboard + cpu upgrade and as far as i know, the 6700k outperforms the 6850k in gaming when overclocked.

uses a 2011-v3 socket, so that's a whole new MB, plus the $600 for the CPU for what, 2 extra cores that are slower? unless you're multi-tasking, there is no reason what-so-ever to go beyond 4 cores.

you'll be good for a long, long time. 1080p gaming is still a thing, and to be honest i don't know how many frames a GPU can render that would fully consume a 6700k.

you're fine for at least 3 years, hard to say what intels socket is gonna be then, amd will still be on am4 and it's impossible to say which will be better then

i think it's more about monitor performance now. if they can't keep up with the GPU-CPU, then it's all ePeen.
