PC Build (Advice?)

ZUB XD

So after asking alot of times for good builds, i finally made one final one.

I need to know, is this all compatible with eachother and if I want to upgrade what should I upgrade first?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FLD2NN

(I'm on a budget so if I can downgrade without losing any perfomance I would for now)

should work fine, i don't see anything you can cut more corners

maybe a kit with slower ram speed is a tad cheaper but otherwise i don't see anything

Thank you! I'm keeping the RAM because I don't want to buy that when I make small upgrades.

PERSONALLY I'd grad an SSD first and add an HDD later on. It's easier and you get faster startups and loads

Keep in mind that you'll need a BIOS update with a skylake chip if you want to do this!

the kabylake bioses have been released for 6 months, most of the boards for sale now should support the G4560 already.

did you check the manufacture date? there's always a chance you get older stock.

Hmm.. Not quite sure. I want to remember that he said that he had to wait for it to come in.

So it was probably new stock.

I still hear alot about this as well

I'd do this:

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  ($55.87 @ OutletPC)
Storage: ADATA Ultimate SU800 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($50.88 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Seagate BarraCuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($47.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Asus Radeon RX 480 4GB Dual Video Card  ($182.00 @ Amazon)
Case: Zalman Z3 Plus White ATX Mid Tower Case  ($34.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 520W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  ($29.90 @ Newegg)
Total: $544.50

Reasoning:

2017 any pc should have an SSD it'll feel so much better trust me even if its only used for windows! Definitely worth it.

Slightly more expensive motherboard but will support 7th gen guaranteed.

Slightly faster ram just because that is what the motherboard supports so may as well get the most out of your hardware.

EDIT:

Intel killed the need market for their own i3 line (probably accidentally) with the budget beast G4560:

i3 is a waste of money but your choice mate. Literally no one so far has recommended the i3 over the G4560 so what does that tell you?

The reason is more expensive is because that is a 480, which is leaps and bounds above the 460 in your build. Drop that down to a 470 then still far better than a 460.

EDIT:

Dropped it to a 470. Though I remain adamant that you should have an SSD you'll thank me for it later.

I feel like a pentium is too old for newer games, and I can't afford a SSD right now.

I will add one later on

That Pentium is under 6 months old did you even watch the video?

Intel want you to associate Pentium with old but that is a kaby lake Pentium (current generation)

Here's another:

and another:

the G4560 is a kabylake processor, dual core with hyperthreading. it's actually newer than your i3 6100. the difference between them is also very minor, literally just a few fps lower for the pentium while being less than half the price.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

I'd choose Tom's build, since it blows yours out of the water in terms of price/performance.

Also what's your budget/location, since you never stated that? Do you need a monitor, mice, keyboard?

Also the Pentium G4560 is a better budget cpu then the i3, so if your all gung-ho for an i3, your basically pissing money away.

Current System Specs:

CPU: Intel I5-7660K; CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212X; Thermal Paste: IC Diamond 7 Carat; Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon;

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8gb) DDR4 - 2400; SSD Storage: 1TB Samsung 850 EVO; Storage: 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm;

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 8gb G1 Gaming; Case: NZXT Phantom 530 Black; PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W 80+ Gold, OS: Windows 10 Home

Do not ned any peripherals and I live in The Netherlands.

Budget is the price of what the build is.

I will look in to the pentium then, thanks everyone
