Spraying the back of the card with Duplicolor Metalcast has been challenging. The circular holes seem to be slightly dimpled. The paint is dripping in to them and causing a light ring affect around the machined holes on the aluminum back plate. Didn't help that my original surface was not level which you can see with the pooling on the last pic.

I am laying down three layers of the adhesion promoter and then spraying three layers of the base coat which is an aluminum spray to give a chrome effect so that when the tinted layer goes down it shines.

So strip it I shall and spray again.

Six screws to remove, goodby warranty...

TIM was applied pretty good at the factory.

The suspects. Late night painting because...family.

Since I'm having issues with painting the backplate I covered the tubes of the NZXT with primochill flex purple tubing and made use of the nylon clamps they have too.

Tubing on the AiO is a pretty sweet idea! :)

regarding the paint job... many thin layers will prevent those running issues.

Thank you, I may consider going with acrylic because of this... I figure if I get that cut out in vinyl and then spray the acrylic black, peel it and throw some purple LED or RGB under it that it would look pretty awesome.

Decided to line up someone to powder coat the metal pieces. It's been rainy and I needed to make use of the PC. I will have to pull it apart in two weeks when he has time to do it.

So, thoughts? Cable management and such. I think the sleeved AIO tubes turned out good.

Now that schools overall revisit the backplate. Going with acrylic and purple LED. Mock up of the backplate attached.

Backplate is done. I think doing an acrylic plate to cover the side facing the glass where the rad and fans are is next. Maybe a lightsaber lighted that breathes.
